Kid Friendly / Family Camping Trip

Overview

Join us as we visit a beautiful oasis just 45 minutes east of Redlands. This is a beautiful site to unwind, there’s no cell reception, massive trees to shade everyone, trails to hike, streams to enjoy and the sound of water flowing all night long.

The road is fully paved and there are restrooms and running water onsite.

There is always a fire risk so unfortunately open flames are not allowed, propane stoves only (no firepits).

There are no fees for camping, however only 40 people are allowed to camp overnight. Last year it was only us, I expect it to be similar this year.

There is a risk Whitewater Preserve will be flooded from rains in winter / early spring. Will try and have a backup option but we’re at the mercy of the weather…

• Day 1 afternoon setup camp

• Day 2

  • AM, river exploration / walk / games

  • PM, (couple options)

    • Whitewater Canyon View Loop Trail on Alltrails (3.6 miles, moderate)

    • Red Dome via Pacific Crest Trail on Alltrails (4.3 miles, moderate)

  • We’ll likely do an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. Time depending on when most kids are onsite. Talk to me if this is important to your family!

• Day 3 teardown camp

On the way home…

We’ll make a stop at Hadley’s Fruit Orchards for a Date Shake (or your other vice of choice) and be on our way home.
