This site contains a collection of the work I've done over the last 11+ years as a 3ds max artist in the 3d industry. I've primarily worked on arch-viz the past several years and am currently employed at HMC Architects in Ontario, CA. I spend most of my "free" time with my wife and working on my 3d community scripting website ScriptSpot.

Time for some early spring cleaning...

I've noticed my gallery section is getting ridiculously long. The problem with this business is you spend countless hours on a project, then a year later it seems outdated but I find it hard to remove... Oh well, I'll clean it out soon so its easier to keep track of whats new / better content...

SD3DSMUG

This past Thursday night I had the opportunity to present some of my recent work and rendering techniques to the San Diego 3ds Max User Group http://members.cox.net/sd3dsmug/sdmaxug.html ... I've actually been going to the San Diego meetings periodically for the past 15 years or so ... I'm going to try and put some more material together and present again in another couple months.

Presentation notes on ScriptSpot. http://www.scriptspot.com/sd3dsmug

Portfolio up... temporarily...

I've put up my portfolio quickly using a drupal module called "Fast Gallery" which does exactly what it says - creates a gallery "fast"... However, it doesn't give me the control I need to sort & provide descriptions per render... So for now I'll keep it up but over the next few weeks I'll redo the portfolio section so it has descriptions per project and can be sorted chronologically...

The "Geeks and God" Podcast

I've recently stumbled upon a website / podcast by the guys over at Geeks and God - www.geeksandgod.com

They talk about a lot of things like blogging, social networking, drupal, church a/v and tons of other stuff that is really valuable for those of us who are into tech and church. Even if you're not into church, its a really well done podcast and anyone doing drupal work especially should check em out.

Great job guys!

Drupal drupal drupal...

In case anyone doesn't know. I'm totally getting into the open source content management groove now and am running ScriptSpot and this site on php / mysql and the Drupal (www.drupal.org) content management system. Its awesome.

I actually rolled out this site from scratch in about 3 hours. Not terribly fast I suppose since its a relatively simple site but I'm really liking drupal nonetheless... Now all I need to do is actually improve my CSS skills a bit!

FYI, ScriptSpot contests to be starting again soon!

We're about to finish off the ScriptSpot "RE-launch" celebration with the last few raffle prizes. For the last set of giveaways we had great prizes but this time we're going out with a bang! We've got an HP DCC Workstation and V-Ray for SketchUp along with others I can't mention yet. Its going to be great!

Partial 3D content up...

I'm still working on exactly how I want to display my portfolio material so I just have a couple pieces up. More to come.
